Earl Robinson

            Mr. Earl Robinson was born on February 5, 1949.  He entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 23, 2017. 

He was born to the late James Robinson Sr. and Geraldyne Singleton-Carwell in Atmore, Alabama.  He grew up in Somerset, New Jersey.  After graduating from Franklin High School in Somerset.  He attended Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina.  He lettered in baseball while attending Benedict College, earning his nickname “Pro”.  He graduated from Benedict College with a Bachelors of Arts in History.  He lived in Augusta, Georgia for many years with his family and worked as an award-winning salesman for Ford Motor Company.  He then lived in Metter and Swainsboro, Georgia.  He worked with special needs children in the Candler County school system. His passion was people, sports, and helping children. He was an usher at Holy Zion Holiness Church of Metter. 

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Earl leaves to morn and cherish his loving memories: His mother Gussie Robinson of Somerset, NJ; His wife and former wife, Lavonya Robinson of Augusta, GA and Joann Robinson of Swainsboro, GA; Four Sons, Keith (Audra) Robinson of Loganville, GA, Stephon Fryer of Milledgeville, GA, Stefan Fryer of Augusta, GA, and Willie Collins of Metter, GA; Four Daughters, LaDonna Walker of Augusta, GA, Shelley (Clarence) Bland of Lilburn, GA, Jane’t (Tommie) Lloyd, and Kendall (Laquan) Jordan; Two Brothers, James (Marilyn) Robinson Jr. of Augusta, GA, Timothy (Dawn) Robinson of Spartanburg, SC; Nine Sisters, Linda (Daryl) Spencer, New Brunswick, NJ, Joanne Cross of Somerset, NJ, Janice Robinson of Lilburn, GA, Sandra Robinson-Pharms of Morrow, GA, Lisa Robinson of North Brunswick, NJ, Yvette Robinson of North Brunswick, NJ, Tamekiyo Robinson of Plainfield, NJ, Cynthia Crowell of Harlem, NY, and Gayle Carwell-Wright of Cleveland, OH. Fourteen grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. 

           Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 28, 2017.

          The family will receive friends from 5 pm. to 7 pm. Friday, October 27, 2017 at Chapman Funeral Home.
