Edsel Paul Bush

Mr. Edsel Paul Bush, 79, of Swainsboro passed away Monday morning, September 4, 2017 at Emanuel County Nursing Home following an extended illness.

            Mr. Bush was born March 18, 1938 in Dublin, Ga. to the late Dozer Medlock Bush and Sula Wynn Bush. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Parker Bush. Mr. Bush moved to Swainsboro, Ga. in 1970. He liked fishing, duck hunting, and gardening. Mr. Bush loved spoiling his grandchildren. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

            Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Hazel H. Bush of Swainsboro; son, Mike Bush (Sharon) of Swainsboro; daughter, Judy Powell (Baron) of East Dublin, and Jan Zorn (Marty) of Vidalia; grandchildren, Shannon Bush, Tara Alexander, Brannon Bush, Eric Zorn, Tabitha Flanders, Whitney Bush, and Luke Zorn; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

            Funeral Services will be held at Southside Baptist Church 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2017 with Reverends Chad Kennison, and Earl Warnock officiating. Mr. Bush will lie in state one hour prior to service.

           Interment will follow in the Lamb Cemetery.

           The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Chapman Funeral Home.

            Pallbearers are Brannon Bush, Shannon Bush, Robert Henry, Alton Henry, Casey Henry, and Rico Farrow.

            Honorary Pallbearers are grandsons.
