Mrs. Judy Diane Corbin Hillman, 65, of Swainsboro passed away Thursday morning, November 16, 2017 at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Hillman was born September 10, 1952 in High Point, N.C. to the late Robert Odell Gray and Nevie Dee Hall Gray. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Evots Hall.  Mrs. Judy Hillman was an amazing woman. Everyone who knew her knew her knew her in a way that stood out. She was selfless, hardworking and above all, faithful in her love of God and others. Judy was a perfect example of a woman who could do it all. She was wife, mother, granny and great grandmother and she served her community for the past 40+years. She served Swainsboro at the tables of Tick Tock, GC's and East Georgia College. She handled their laundry and pressed their shirts at Judy's Suds and Duds until retirement but she wasn't a woman to retire easily as she continued to keep businesses around town clean for years after. She loved showering her friends, family and community with banana nut bread, fudge and pound cake around the holidays and throughout the year. Her smile and laughter charmed the hearts of everyone she came in contact with even until her last breath. She was always ready and willing to help anyone in need especially the broken ones. She gave in spite of herself and she loved doing it.  She loved serving the Lord and spreading his love to help others who did not know him. As a mother, she embraced integrity, faith and taught selfless love as well as obedience to God. She taught her children cooking and sewing and how to be gentle and loving as well as disciplined when necessary. She loved and cared for her grandchildren and taught them about her loves..... Jesus, Elvis, Rod Stewart and Johnny Cash. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church for 23 years.  She knew a great man when she saw one, right?  She found her right man and the husband of her dreams in Jerry and together they shared their love with their family until the Lord called her home. She fought a good fight until she knew everything was in place and her loved ones' hearts were right with the Lord. Judy Hillman will be missed and we all feel our lives are better just because we knew her. We will celebrate her life and look forward to the day that we see her smiling face again.
