Ms. Maria Jeanne Pirrone, 67, of Swainsboro passed away Monday morning, May 8, 2017 at Twin View Health and Rehab following an extended illness.
Ms. Pirrone was born March 15, 1950 in Los Angeles, California to the late Loreto Pirrone and Jeanne Sichi Pirrone. She was preceded in death by her son, John Rowland; sister, Cecelia Pirrone. Ms. Pirrone lived most of life in California before moving to Swainsboro in 2009. She loved sewing, and she was very devoted to her faith and loved sharing her faith. Ms. Pirrone was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her daughter, Joy (Lanier) Griswold of Swainsboro; sons, James Rowland (Deidra) of Rockhill, S.C., and Jerome Rowland of Columbia S.C.; brothers, Loreto Pirrone, Jr. (Kathy) of Colorado, Roberto Pirrone of Los Angeles, CA., and Filipo Pirrone (Elisa) of California; sister, Amelia Morency of California; aunt, Mary Costello of Scottsdale, AZ.; grandchildren, Katie Griswold, Buck Griswold, Jordan (Jonathan) Mason, and Sarah Griswold; great-grandchild, Maggie Rowland, several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Memorial Services will be held at Joy & Lanier Griswold residence 633 old Nunez Rd. Swainsboro, Ga. at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017 with Reverend Paul Leigh officiating.
In Lieu of Flowers Memorials can be made to American Cancer Society.
