Mrs. Alice Evelyn Hall, 86, of Swainsboro passed away Saturday, August 3, 2019 at her residence following an extended illness.
Mrs. Hall was born September 9, 1932 in Swainsboro to the late Homer J. Hayes and Annie Lee Shepard Hayes. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allen D. Hall, Jr.; sisters, Sybil Patterson, Carolyn Wilson; granddaughter, Jill Hall Marsh; great-granddaughter, Allie; special friend, Willis Claxton, Sr. Mrs. Hall drove a school bus for the Emanuel County Board of Education for 34 years. She also worked side by side with her husband and boys on the family farm. Alice enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was a traditional southern cook and visitors were always invited to pull up a chair. The meal was always delicious, and no one left hungry.
Survivors include her sons, Dave (Connie) Hall, Gene (Tina) Hall, Aaron (Debbie) Hall, all of Swainsboro, Jerry (Paula) Hall of Twin City; sisters, Betty Pelt of Prattville, AL, Ann Parker of Evansville, IL.; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held at the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2019 with Reverend Ray Jenkins officiating.
Entombment will follow in Eastbrook Cemetery and Mausoleum.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
Pallbearers are Matt Hall, Mark Hall, Patrick Hall, M.J. Hall, Trevor Sconyers and Mikell Clifton.
