Mr. Benjamin Curtis Hickox, 78, of Swainsboro passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Community Hospice following an extended illness.
Mr. Hickox was born October 7, 1939 in Raiford, Fl. to the late Hampton Lee Hickox and Marie Stroud Way. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Rabon Jessie Way; son, Curtis Benjamin Hickox; daughter, Rebecca Darling Hickox; grandson, Jeremy Neal. Mr. Hickox was a member of Hawhammock Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Hickox of Swainsboro; daughters, Patsy Hickox Neal of McRae, Brandy Hickox Drake (Jeff) of Swainsboro; son, Curtis Hickox (Paula) of Swainsboro; brothers, Lamar Way (Mona) of Dellwood, Gibson Way (Martha) of Swainsboro, Wayne Way (Carolyn) of Swainsboro; sister, Grace Dupper of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Felica Neal, Arica Screws (Brian), Kayla Danielle Neal; great-grandchildren, Jake Henry, Maci Henry, Riley Screws, Emma Screws; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral Services will be in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 30, 2018 with Elder Tommy Roundtree and Rev. Louis Pearce officiating.
Interment will follow in the Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Chapman Funeral Home
Pallbearers are Frank Nasworthy, Wendel Powell, Dennis Coney, William Raulerson, Jerry Lawson, and Billy Edenfield.
Honorary Pallbearers are nephews.
