Mrs. Betty Fay Bell Driggers, 87, of Metter passed away Monday, September 3, 2018 at Meadows Park Health and Rehabilitation following an extended illness.
Mrs. Driggers was born August 15, 1931 in Swainsboro, Ga. to the late Charlie Homer Bell and Faye Short Bell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Driggers; brother, Bobby Bell. Mrs. Driggers was a lifelong resident of Candler county. She was a secretary for Candler County Board of Education. Mrs. Driggers loved her family, friends and church. Ms. Betty was the oldest member of Cool Spring Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna (Gene) Waters of Aline; brother, Homer Bell of Metter; sister, Joyce Rooks of Augusta; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral Services will be in the Cool Spring Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 6, 2018 with Reverend Wade McBride officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends 1 hour before services at Cool Spring Baptist Church.
Pallbearers are Ricky Prince, Scott Steele, Chris Storey, Ben Anderson, Clevie Goodman and Jeremy Salter.
Honorary Pallbearers Joe Paul Williams, Eddie Williams, Aaron Waters and Austin Padgett.
