Mr. Charles Earnest Mullis, Jr., 42, of Wrightsville passed away Monday, May 13, 2019 at his residence following a brief illness.
Mr. Mullis was born April 13, 1977 in Dublin to Charles E. Mullis Sr. and Debbie Henderson Mullis. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Mullis, Sr.; nephew, Daniel Dean Carver. Mr. Mullis was a heavy equipment operator and truck driver employed by DNR Trucking. His ultimate joy was his son whom he cherished. Mr. Mullis loved fishing, video games, music and spending time by a fire with family and friends. He loved to make people laugh and enjoyed spoiling every child he was around. Mr. Mullis loved God and could quote the bible on the spot. There was not a person he met that he did not consider family.
Survivors include his mother, Debbie Mullis of Rome; son, Charles J. Mullis (Savana Fisher) of Wrightsville; sisters, Lori Lawyer of Rome and Michele Cornelius (Mathew) of Warner Robins; 2 nieces, 1 nephew and many friends.
Memorial Service will be in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 7 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2019 with Reverends Sammy Hall and Craig Foskey officiating.
The family will receive friends Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.
