Mr. Charlie Morris Hopkins, Jr., 73, of Swainsboro passed away Tuesday morning, January 30, 2018 at Lakeside Manor following an extended illness.
Mr. Hopkins was born September 23, 1944 in Emanuel County to the late Charlie Morris Hopkins, Sr. and Maybell Stapleton Hopkins. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Loree Hopkins, Ruby Garnto; brothers, Johnny Hopkins, Albert Hopkins, Lamar Hopkins. Mr. Hopkins was a retired Truck Driver and had lived in Emanuel County all his life. He enjoyed working, fishing, and being around people. Mr. Hopkins was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include his daughters, Sabrina Redd (Greg) of Emerson, Ga. and Tonya Hopkins of Austell, Ga.; brothers, Edward Hopkins (Trannie) and Gene Hopkins both of Swainsboro; sister, Shirley Conley of Enigma, Ga.; grandchildren, Dalton Redd, Payton Redd, Jared Coffin, Ryan Johnston, Dillion Johnston, and Curtiss Cavender; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Memorial Service will be in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2018 with Reverend Allen Meeks officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Chapman Funeral Home.
The family will be gathering at Lakeside Manor 924 Crump St. Swainsboro, Ga. 30401.
