Mr. Christopher Lee “Chris” Canady, 45, of Nunez passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2019 Emanuel Medical Center following a brief illness.
Mr. Canady was born April 8, 1974 in Swainsboro, GA. to the late James Bernard Canady, Jr. and Patricia Ann Graham Canady. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Canady was employed with Bennett Farms. He loved fishing, farming, driving the tractor and hanging out at Hooks Grocery. Mr. Canady also loved playing cards and helping his brother in the garden. He loved his children and grandchildren. Mr. Canady was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include his sons, Christopher (Maggie) Canady of Alma, Joshua Stevens of Guntersville, AL; daughter, Alysa Stevens of Ft. Campbell, KY; brother, Jamie (Karen) Canady of Summertown; grandchildren, Sophie Canady, Matthew Canady, Paislee Stevens; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 28, 2019, 2:00 p.m. at Nunez Baptist Church with Reverend Jim Harrell and Sheriff Tyson Stephens officiating.
Interment will follow in the Eastbrook Cemetery and Mausoleum.
The Family will receive friends Friday, September 27, 2019 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Jim Canady, Richard Snell, Greg Bennett, Ricky Thompson, Lynn Thompson and Ricky Ely.
