Mr. Donny Ray Jenkins, 62, of Kite passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Community Hospice following an extended illness.
Mr. Jenkins was born February 10, 1956 in Millen, Ga. to Ray Edward Jenkins and Mary Ruth Spence Jenkins. He moved to Swainsboro in 1969 and was a 1974 graduate of Swainsboro High School. Mr. Jenkins was an EMT-Paramedic with Emanuel County for many years, in 1989 he moved to Augusta and worked at M.C.G. in the Pediatric Cath Lab. He enjoyed photography, fishing, and water skiing. Mr. Jenkins loved his medical career. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include his parents, Rev. Ray & Ruth Jenkins of Kite; daughter, Marle Jenkins of Waynesboro; sons, Jamey Jenkins (Clarissa) of Alamo and Wes Jenkins (Lacey) of North Augusta; sisters, Judy Jenkins of Swainsboro and Ann Keene (Nicholas) of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Tristen Jenkins, Rowan Jenkins, Finn Jenkins, Rosie Jenkins, Maverick Jenkins, Landry Kate Jenkins, and Avery Valliant; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral Services will be in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 15, 2018 with Reverends Louis Pearce and Phil Wilson officiating.
Interment will follow in the Eastbrook Cemetery & Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, September 14, 2018 at Chapman Funeral Home
Pallbearers are Mike Strobridge, Ashley Riner, Steve McNure, Courtney Terwilliger, Rev. Phil Wilson, and Danny Davis.
Honorary Pallbearers are all Emanuel County Emergency Services.
