Mr. Eddie Coleman, 76, of Canoochee went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 4, 2018 at his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Coleman was born August 16, 1941 in Swainsboro, Ga. to the late Wiley A. Coleman, Sr. and Estelle Allmond Canady. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Tim Coleman;daughter, Angela Ann Coleman; step fathers, Ruben Willis, and Walter Canady; brother, Wiley A. Coleman, Jr. Mr. Coleman was a 1959 graduate of E.C.I. and was a member of the FFA for 4 years, 2 of those years as chapter president. He married Helen Coleman, the love of his life, and went on to build a loving family. Mr. Coleman served in the National Guard and was retired from Triangle Chemical after many years. He loved spending time with his family, working on his farm, his dogs, cows, and his rocking chair. Mr. Coleman was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Coleman of Canoochee; daughters, Melissa “Missy” Oglesby and Jenny Baker (Robbie) both of Canoochee; brother, Emmit Coleman (Annette) of Harlem; sister, Ann Riner of Grovetown; extended family Sonny & Lynn Harrell and Judy White all of Canoochee; grandchildren, Amy Estes (Shane), Erin Beach (Kyle), Ricky Bustamante, Timothy Edward Coleman, Jr., Justin Carter Coleman, Lucas Smith (Hali), Haley Nicole Smith, Monte Robinson, and Matthew Ryan Smith; great-grandchildren, Sara Estes, Nathan Estes, Jonah Estes, Grace Beach, Carter Bustamante, Brayden Smith, Dixie Smith, and Addie Smith; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral Services will be in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2018 with Reverend Louis Pearce officiating.
Interment will follow at Eastbrook Cemetery & Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Chapman Funeral Home.
