Mrs. Glenda Gail Bell McGlaughn, 73, of Statesboro passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018 following a brief illness.
Mrs. McGlaughn was born September 21, 1945 in Altoona, Al. to the late Grady Bell and Pearl Goble Bell. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James L.D. McGlaughn; brother, James Bell; sister, Geneva Bell Nix. Mrs. McGlaughn lived in Sylvania most of her life but moved to Statesboro. She loved sewing, crafting, and Curious George. Mrs. McGlaughn loved her family very much, she was the glue that held everything together. She was not judgmental, was a good listener, and was very gentle.
Survivors include her daughters, Wendy (Al) Lambert of Sylvania, Dawn Hudson of Swainsboro; brothers, Grady Bell, Jr. of Kingport, TN., Eddy (Kathren) Bell of Altoona, AL.; sister, Becky Jenkins of Altoona, AL.; grandchildren, Jessica (Jody) Clifton, James (Leandra) Alderman, Justin (Stephanie) Alderman, Heather (Adam) Oglesby, Colin Lambert, Hayden Lambert; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral Services will be at East Main Street Church of God in Statesboro at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2018 with Pastor Lelon Jeffers officiating.
Interment will follow in the Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m.- 2 p.m. at East Main Street Church of God in Statesboro.
Pallbearers are Charles Oglesby, Darrell Moon, Andy Spahose, Donney Bell, Lynn Bell, and Mickey Lambert.
