Mr. Irby “Sonny” Jackson Harrell, Jr., 55, of Twin City passed away Thursday, October 10, 2019 at East Georgia Medical Center in Statesboro following a brief illness.
Mr. Harrell was born October 2, 1964 in Florence, AL. to the late Irby Jackson Harrell, Sr. and Lynda Rowe Harrell. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Harrell was a logger and was employed by Randall Woods as an equipment operator. He loved fishing and his time in his shop. He was a big Alabama and Georgia football fan. Mr. Harrell was a team player on the Big Dog Racing team. His family always came first. Mr. Harrell was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include his wife, Linda “Lynn” Harrell of Twin City; sons, Bryan (Rannie) Tanner of Donaldson; Nick (Amanda) Tanner of Twin City; sister, Lesa (Trey) Dixon of Statesboro, sister-in-law; Judy White of Twin City; 3 grandchildren, Bailey, Joshua, and Axel Tanner; and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 14, 2019 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Jamie Toler officiating.
Interment will follow at Eastbrook Cemetery and Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ryder Lamb, Matt Holt, Chris Holt, Wesley Wren, Roy Beneteau and Justin Smith.
