Jackie Anita (Edge) Taylor

Ms. Jackie Anita Taylor, 58, of Swainsboro passed away Monday morning, May 29, 2017 at Pruitt Health following an extended illness. Ms. Taylor was born December 20, 1958 in Vidalia, Ga. to Jack Edge and Ellen Edge Pitts. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Edge; sister, Beverly Glover. Ms. Taylor was a 1977 graduate of Swainsboro High School where she was a very good basketball player. She was an avid NASCAR fan; her favorite driver was the late Dale Earnhardt. Ms. Taylor Loved her children, grandchildren, and family. She was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include her mother, Ellen Edge Pitts (R.B.) of Swainsboro; sons, Keith Edge (Tonya) of Metter, Joel Taylor (Melissa) of Reidsville, and Chase Taylor (Crystal) of Metter; brother, Dana Edge (Susan) of Statesboro; sisters, Becky Foskey of Swainsboro, and Jena Denver (Scotty) of Jonesboro, TN.; grandchildren, Brian Edge, Ryder Edge, Nathan Taylor, Brianna Taylor, Shane Taylor, and Treston Taylor, several nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be held at the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2017 with Reverends Louis Pearce and Heath Wingard officiating. Interment will follow in the Swainsboro City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 pm. to 8 pm. Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Chapman Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Alvin Beasley, Darish Greene, William Wright, Fred Passmore, and Jason Attebery.
