Mr. James Dwight Kirby, 51, of Midway passed away Monday, October 2, 2017 at his residence following a brief illness.

            Mr. Kirby was born June 2, 1966 in Swainsboro, Ga. to Willie Milton Kirby and Catherine Wiggins Kirby. He was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents, Cordie Wiggins and Dora Mae Wiggins; paternal grandparents, Otis Kirby and Irene Kirby. Mr. Kirby lived most of his life in Emanuel County up until four years ago he moved to Liberty County. He loved working with wood, and fishing. Mr. Kirby was a member of Swainsboro Primitive Baptist Church.

            Survivors include his mother, Catherine Kirby of Nunez; brothers, Mark Kirby (Sheila), and Greg Kirby both of Nunez; sisters, Connie Beasley of Twin City, and Cyndi Kirby Folds of Canoochee; Aunts, Uncles, niece, nephews, and friends.

            Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 6, 2017 with Reverends Tim Hicks and Jim Harrell officiating.

           Interment will follow in the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

           The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Chapman Funeral Home.

            Pallbearers are Wesley Wiggins, Garry Coleman, Rod Wiggins, Matt Wiggins, Stevie Riner, Timothy Webb, Jeff Kirby, and Patrick Kirby.
