Miss Jaylen Chalker, 15, of Swainsboro passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at her residence following an extended illness.
Jaylen was born April 26, 2004 in Savannah to Jamey and Jenni Chalker. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Jimmy Chalker. Jaylen enjoyed going to the beach, camping, fishing, shopping and spending time with her family. She had a smile that would light up the world. Jaylen was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her parents, Jamey and Jenni Chalker of Swainsboro; brothers, Colby Butler of Dublin, Jared and Jacob Chalker both of Swainsboro; sister, Jade Anna Chalker of Swainsboro; maternal grandparents, Ed and Terry Davis of Swainsboro, Lamar and Glenda Coleman of Kite; paternal grandparents, Harris and Debra Giles of Swainsboro; great maternal grandparents, Shirley Coleman of Swainsboro, Frank & Susie Coleman of Kite; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members and friends.
Funeral Services will be private.
Interment will be at Eastbrook Cemetery, Mausoleum, and Chapel.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 24, 2019 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Wes Snellgrove, Jed Davis, Chris Headrick, James Ward, Johnny Mills and Devin Pierce.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Swainsboro Fire Department, Swainsboro Shrine Club, All Emanuel County Public Safety, Enforcers and Swainsboro Jaycees for the love, compassion and support that has been shown.
