Jessica Ann "Jessi" Thompson

Miss. Jessica Ann “Jessi” Thompson, 35, of Kite passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018.

            Miss. Thompson was born February 7, 1983 in Swainsboro, Ga. to Danny Thompson and Janelle Langley. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Morgan & Bonita Colston; paternal grandparents, James L. Thompson, Jr. & Willie T. Thompson. Miss Thompson was a 2001 graduate of Johnson County High School where she was involved in cheerleading and softball. She loved riding horses, fishing, and dancing. Miss. Thompson won several beauty pageants throughout the southeast. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

            Survivors include her mother, Janelle Langley (Joe) of Kite; father, Danny Thompson of Swainsboro; daughters, Kayla Norris of Gray and Karmen Thompson of Kite; brothers, Clint Thompson of Kite and Joey Langley, III of Lakeland, FL.; sister, Sera Harris (David) of Swainsboro; 3 nieces; 1 nephew; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. 

            Funeral Services will be at Hillcrest Baptist Church 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 13, 2018 with Reverends Craig Tillman, Josh Black, and Jonathan Shepard officiating. Miss Thompson will lie in state one hour prior to service.

            Interment will follow in Rehoboth Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. 

            The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Chapman Funeral Home.

            
            Pallbearers are Jordan Thompson, Blake Colston, Ashley Colston, Ben Thompson, Coty Colston, and Morgan Colston.
