John W. "Buddy" Samples

            Mr. John W. “Buddy” Samples, Jr., 67, of Twin City passed away Friday morning, January 19, 2018 at his residence following an extended illness.

            Mr. Samples was born October 24, 1950 in Twin City to the late John Wesley Samples, Sr. and Annie Lee Meeks Samples. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Della Faye Samples; sister, Barbara Sherrod. Mr. Samples was a lifelong resident of Twin City who never met a stranger. He loved playing the guitar, going to Church, and watching westerns. Mr. Samples was a member of Twin City Church of God.

            Survivors include his sisters, JoAnn Archer (George, Sr.) and Faye Jackson both of Twin City; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

            Funeral Services will be at Twin City Church of God  3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 21, 2018 with Reverends George Archer, Jr., John Woodcock, and Greg Ely officiating. Mr. Samples will lie in state one hour prior to service.

           Interment will follow in the Kirkland Cemetery.

           The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Chapman Funeral Home.

           Pallbearers are James Ward, Wesley Kirkland, Billy Sherrod, Lee Sherrod, Jesse Brown, and Lamar Archer.

           Honorary Pallbearers are Robert Baker, Jerry Johnson, Randy Womack, Ronald Boatright, Don Kirkland, Wilder Kirkland, and Ronnie Youngblood.
