Mr. Johnny Lewis McGee, 78, of Swainsboro passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 at University Hospital in Augusta following an extended illness.
Mr. McGee was born on October 1, 1940 in Emanuel County to the late Woodrow McGee and Ruby Wilkes McGee. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roy McGee; sister, Dot Rich. Mr. McGee was a member of Hawhammock Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Mac Dover McGee of Swainsboro; son, John (Kay) McGee of Swainsboro; daughter, Cynthia (Ronnie) Phillips of Soperton; brothers, Ken (Dorothy) McGee of Swainsboro, Teddy (Robin) McGee of Covena; sister, Mildred (Donald) Hooks of Canoochee; grandchildren, Justin (Tracy) Braddy, Caitlin Braddy, Christina (Ofelio) Jimenez, Monica McGee, Jasper McGee, Jay Evans; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral Services will be in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 1 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2019 with Reverend Louis Pearce and Mr. Randall Williford officiating.
Interment will follow in Holton Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Larry Hall, Beau McGee, Jay Evans, Junior Abrigo, Darron McGee and Charlie Brown.
