Mr. Lee Parker Freeman, Jr. of Twin City passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Freeman was born June 3, 1947 in Bulloch County to the late Lee Parker Freeman, Sr. and Martha Faye Youmans Freeman. He was raised in the Cooperville community of Screven County and graduated from Screven County High School in 1966, then attended Americus Technical School where he earned a degree in automotive mechanics. Parker was drafted into the United States Army and served his country, stationed in Korea from 1698 to 1970. In 1974 he moved to Twin City after marrying Jenny Donaldson, his wife of 45 years. He retired from UPS in 2008 after 20 years of working as a mechanic. Parker was well known for his ability to fix, build, or mechanic on anything. He was an avid hunter and loved to fish. Parker was a member of the Bulloch Wildlife Club and a member of Wade’s Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Jenny Donaldson Freeman of Twin City; son, Brent (Samantha) Freeman of Twin City; daughter, Kylie Freeman (Mark) Trapnell of Metter; grandchildren, Colt Freeman, Carley Freeman, Kyson Trapnell, Kaiden Trapnell; sisters, Faye Hodges of Bellville, Gail (Jimmy) Pollack of Cooperville; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral Services will be Friday, September 6, 2019, 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Dan Joiner officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
The Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Danny Andrews, Tracy Lee, Alvin Sheppard, Benji Anderson, Garrett Anderson and Thomas Kersey.
