Mr. Lee Webb, 67, of Adrian passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Webb was born February 27, 1951 in Swainsboro, Ga. to the late Rufus Lee Webb, Sr. and Evelyn Elizabeth Tyson Webb. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Thomas S. Webb. Mr. Webb held a bachelor’s degree in education and was retired from Jefferson County Board of Education. He was an avid Georgia Tech and Georgia Southern football fan. Mr. Webb had a love for God, his Church, and family, which reflected through his life. He was a member and Trustee of Eastwood Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Kay Mimbs Webb of Adrian; daughters, Melanie Maxwell (Jake) of Savannah and Geri Cowart Eckardt (Brandon) of Des Moines, Iowa; sons, Chris Webb of Rome, Jason Webb of Swainsboro, and Ray Cowart, II (Rhonda) of Wyoming; sisters, Margaret R. Zematis (Mike) of Olive Branch, MS., Sandra Webb of Swainsboro, and Becky Williams Rutherford of Norristown; 7 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral Services will be in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2018 with Reverend Bruce Flowers and Sister Elizabeth Howard officiating.
Interment will follow at Sardis Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Stanley Mills, Mark Judd, Javier Ramirez, Nathan Rutherford, Jared Flowers, and Bobby Williams.
Honorary Pallbearers are Bobby Frank Sherrod, Daniel Flowers, Tony Johnson, Jesus Ramirez, Wendall Powell, Donald Hall, Huey Steptoe, and Speck Hall.
