Ms. Martha Poole, 76, of Twin City passed away Sunday morning, June 24, 2018 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
Ms. Poole was born July 9, 1941 in Twin City, Ga. to Grady Brown and Mary Lucindia Davis Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bobby Lewis Brown. Ms. Poole enjoyed crocheting, fishing, had started painting, and was a great cook. She loved her family and was known by many as MeMaw. Ms. Poole was a member of the Rock Worship Center.
Survivors include her daughters, Cheryl Forehand of Tallahassee, FL. and Carol Pleasant (Roy) of Summerville, S.C.; grandchildren, Jake Forehand, Maranda Bailey (Wayne), Shane Hobbs, Jill Veal (Kirk), Mark Hobbs, and Roy Pleasant IV.; great-grandchildren, Joseph Bailey, Nateleigh Bailey, Hailey Hobbs, and Siddalee Veal; sister, Joann Jones; nieces, Lynelle Davis, and Lynn Young; nephew, Larry Jones; her adored boys, Chase Ellison, and Chet Ellison; many friends.
Memorial service will be in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2018 with Elder Mike Gray officiating.
Interment will follow in the Friendship Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
