Mary Grace Newsome

            Ms. Mary Grace Newsome, 73, of Wrightsville GA. passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Navicent Health following an extended illness.

Ms. Newsome was born November 8, 1945 in Wrightsville to the late Edward Walker and Margaret Peavy Walker. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bobby Walker, Robert Walker, and James Walker; sister, Sara Garnto. Ms. Newsome loved sewing, cooking, and walking on the beach.

            Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Grant of Wrightsville; son, Eddie Smith of Wrightsville; grandchildren, Billy Joe Grant, Jr. (Kristen) of Dublin, Haley Grant (Daniel Fountain) of Mt. Vernon, and Rebecca Grant of Eastman; great-grandchildren, Ava Grant, and Mariah Grant; brother, Edward Walker (Kathryn) of Wrightsville; sister, Susie Smith (J.R.) of Scott, several nieces, nephews, and friends.

            The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm Monday, March 11, 2019 at Chapman Funeral Home.
