Mitzi D. (Hutcheson) Carter

            Mrs. Mitzi D. Hutcheson Carter, 58, of Evans passed away Thursday night, May 10, 2018 at Doctors Hospital following an extended illness.

            Mrs. Carter was born April 19, 1960 in Statesboro, Ga. to Newburn Hutcheson and Ruth Henry Hutcheson. She was preceded in death by her father; sister, Sue Reeves; brother, Neal Hutcheson. Mrs. Carter enjoyed reading, writing, decorating, and going to the beach. She loved her family, especially her five grandchildren, and she loved spending quiet time at the cottage in devotion and prayer with her Lord. Mrs. Carter was a member of Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church.

            Survivors include her husband, Clark Carter of Evans; mother, Ruth Henry Hutcheson of Swainsboro; daughters, Tori Wells (Brad) of Jacksonville, NC., Lori Santiago (Raul) of Palm Harbor, FL., Katlin Carter, and Lillie Carter both of Evans; brothers, Keith Hutcheson (Kimberly) of Dublin, Ga., Lynn Hutcheson of Adrian, Ga., and Sean Hutcheson of Macon, Ga.; grandchildren, Koby, Jake, Abel, Sunnie, and Isaiah; several nieces, nephews, and friends. 

            Funeral Services will be in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 2:00 p.m. Monday May 14, 2018 with Elder J.E. Griffis officiating.

            Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

            The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2018 at Chapman Funeral Home.

            Pallbearers are Raul Santiago, Bradley Wells, Seth Hutcheson, Nathan Hutcheson, Tal Henry, and Steve Jones.
