Nina Daniels Brown

Mrs. Nina Daniels Brown, 76, of Norristown passed away Saturday night, January 13, 2018, at her residence following an extended illness.

           Mrs. Brown was born January 31, 1941 in Swainsboro to the late John William Daniels and Cochineal Rich Daniels.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Neal “Cooter” Brown; brothers, John Daniels, Robert Daniels, Alvin Daniels, Hermon Daniels, James Daniels; sister, Gaynell Price. Mrs. Brown had worked with Emanuel County Family & Children Services, and had retired from Treutlen County Board of Education as a School Bus Driver. She was a homemaker, she loved gardening, cooking, and spending time with family. Mrs. Brown was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Woodman of World, and Norristown Baptist Church.

           Survivors include her son, Chad (Joann) Brown of Soperton; daughter, Dr. Windy Hawkins of Douglasville, Ga.; sisters, Bonnette Marks of Jonesboro, and Florence Bedgood (C.J.) of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Danielle Gawthrop (Justin), Tessa DeMatteo (Matt), Neal Brown, Benjamin Hawkins (Angela), and Alixandra Hawkins Meeks; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends.

           Funeral services will be held at Norristown Baptist Church at 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, January 16, 2018 with Dr. Hal Wilson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7p.m. Monday evening, January 15, 2018 at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Lung Association or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
