Robert "Bob" Losser

            Mr. Robert “Bob” Losser, 81, of Swainsboro passed away Thursday morning, December 7, 2017 at Emanuel Medical Center following a brief illness.

            Mr. Losser was born October 10, 1936 in Murray, Utah to the late Leroy Losser and Dorothy Harkness Losser. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jeanne Hawkins; brother, Rohn Losser. On December 7, 2017 Bob Losser finished the work His Lord gave him to do. He served his Church in Upward Basketball and the annual judgement house production. He also served in Kiwanis, the Kairos Prison Ministry, and the Emanuel County Historical Preservation Society. Although retired from East Georgia State College he frequently visited the staff and supported the basketball team. Bob was a kind and generous man. He enjoyed taking care of his property and feeding the fish inhis pond. Bob loved to ride his bike, and run. Having run in many marathons, including the Boston Marathon, he continued to incorporate a slower paced run around the neighborhood. His favorite scripture was 1 Corinthians 13. Bob was a member of Hawhammock Missionary Baptist Church.

            Survivors include his wife Vivian Losser of Swainsboro; sons, Robert J. Losser (Geri), Roger Losser (Tammi) both of Washington State, and Levi Losser (Shanon) of Ontario, CA.; daughters, Lisa Woodard (Cory) of Washington State, Laurie Marquez, and Leah Losser both of California; sister, Shelley Horel (John) of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Linda Cole of Orderville, Utah; 11 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

            Funeral Services will be at Hawhammock Missionary Baptist Church 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 11, 2017 with Reverend Cail Pressey officiating.

           Interment will follow in the Hawhammock Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

           The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Chapman Funeral Home.

           Pallbearers are Tim Goodman, Marion Shaw, Ken Miles, Jim Dekle, Trinton Hooks, and George Elder
