Roy Jones

Mr. Roy Jones, 37, of Stillmore passed away Sunday, November 17, 2019 following a brief illness. 

Mr. Jones was born December 8, 1981 to Bobby R. Jones and Margaret Jones.  He is preceded in death by his father, Bobby R. Jones; maternal grandmother, Inez Youmans. Roy was one of the most helpful people we knew all anyone had to do was ask and he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed riding dirt roads and listening to music, hanging out with family and friends, just laughing and having a good time no matter what.  He was definitely one of a kind and left a good impression on many from the first time he met them. He was loved by so many and will be truly missed.  

Survivors include his mother, Margaret Youmans Jones of Stillmore; daughters, Caitlyn Jones of Brooklet, Heaven Jones of Sylvania; brothers, Jimmy (Renee) Akridge of Twin City, Ray Jones of Stillmore, Bobby Floyd Jones of Stilson; sisters, Jennifer (Paul) Burke of Garfield, Shirley (Kevin) Scarboro of Stillmore, Vicki Jones of Lyons; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, November 21, 2019, 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Robert Beckum officiating.

Interment will follow in the Sim Warren Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Chapman Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Pallbearers are Scott Warnock, Daryl Saylor, Dee Akridge, Jamie Edenfield, John Roy Lively, and Blake Edenfield.

Honorary pallbearers are Christopher Hooks and Tiwain Daughtry.
