Mrs. Ruby Johnson,87, of Twin City passed away Wednesday morning, January 31, 2018 at her residence following an extended illness.
Mrs. Johnson was born February 15, 1930 in Garfield, Ga. to the late Napoleon Bennett and Ruby Dell Clifton Bennett. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Betty Jane Tomberlin, and Sidney Moore. Mrs. Johnson was a lifelong resident of Emanuel County. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking, and fishing. Mrs. Johnson attended Hebron Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, James Johnson of Twin City; daughters, Jane Woods (Charles) of Twin City, Dell Miller of Swainsboro, Kathy Woods (Eddie) of Twin City, and Jennifer Lamb (Phillip) of Wadley; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral Services will be at Hebron Primitive Baptist Church 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2018 with Elder Tommy Rountree officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hebron Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2018 at Hebron Primitive Baptist Church.
Pallbearers are Kevin Edenfield, Gavin Edenfield, Eric Woods, Tyler Flakes, Mitch Flakes, and Chase Whitehead.
