Ms. Sylvia Peebles Edenfield, 73, of Cobbtown, GA. passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019 at her residence following an extended illness.
Ms. Edenfield was born August 11, 1945 in Swainsboro to the late James Harvey Peebles and Rosa Lee Giles Peebles. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmy Otis Edenfield, Sr.; brother, Wendell Chett Peebles. She worked at the Emanuel County Sheriff’s Department for several years.
Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Edenfield-Bell (Michael) of Vidalia, Linda Coleman (Kenny) of Cobbtown, and Susan Edenfield of Oak Park; sons, Jimmy Edenfield, Jr. and Jason Edenfield, both of Cobbtown; brothers, David Peebles (Betty) of Knoxville, TN, Ricky Peebles of Sandersville, and Sammy Peebles (Lorene) of Swainsboro; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral Services will be in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2019 with Rev. Ervin Stapleton officiating.
Interment will follow in the Edenfield Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 pm to 3 pm Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Kenny Coleman, Jr., Shane Coleman, Tyler Tuttle, Dustin Carter, Gary Purvis, Jr., and Lindsey Woods.
Honorary pallbearers are employees of Emanuel County Sheriff’s Department.
