Mr. Tony Wayne Purvis, 53, of Swainsboro passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Mr. Purvis was born June 26, 1965 in Milledgeville, Ga. to Billy Purvis and Faye Sconyers Purvis. He was preceded in death by his mother. Mr. Purvis was a resident of Emanuel County. He loved racing, fishing, and his family. Racing was Tony’s life. He referred to everybody as girlfriend or brother-in-law.
Survivors include his father, Billy Purvis of Swainsboro; daughter, Mallory Weber (Eric) of Swainsboro; son, T.J. Purvis of Swainsboro; brothers, Larry Purvis (Doris) of Wadley, Gary Purvis and Charles Purvis both of Swainsboro; granddaughters, Mylee Weber and Bristol Weber; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral Services will be in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2018 with Reverend Brad McKenzie officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Chapman Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
