Mr. Tucker Stevens, 83, of Swainsboro passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Emanuel Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mr. Stevens was born September 27, 1936 in Swainsboro to the late Virgil Stevens and Susie Smith Stevens. He is preceded in death by his parents; infant son; brother, H. S. Stevens; sisters, Margaret Duckworth and Ruth Roberts. Mr. Stevens was a life-long resident of Emanuel County. He was a retired salesman of 48 years from Ramsey Candy Company. Mr. Stevens enjoyed fishing. He was a member of Lake Luck Civic Club and served 8 years for the National Guard. Mr. Stevens was a member of United Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Dudley Stevens of Swainsboro; son, Danny (Robin) Stevens of Watkinsville; daughter, Donna (Joey) Kay of Swainsboro; brother, Gene Stevens of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Tori Stevens Jordan Stevens (Morgan) Marietta, Amber Kay, Adam Kay; great-grandchildren, Mason Marietta, Mia Marietta; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2019 in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Elder Paul Thomas officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.
