Mrs. Ann E. Rainwater age 72, of Swainsboro died Thursday, February 3, 2011 at University Hospital in Augusta following an extended illness.
Mrs. Rainwater was born in Pensacola FL and had lived in Swainsboro since 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Minnie Gibson O’Gwynn and was a homemaker, a member of Southside Independent Baptist Church, and loved teaching, singing and praying for her church.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Kenneth “Don” Rainwater, three sons Robert Michael of Augusta GA, Kenneth D. Rainwater, Jr. of Dahlonega GA, and William A. Michael of Wichita Falls, TX; five daughters Regina Rainwater of Dahlonega, GA, Deborah Farrell of Jacksonville, FL, Wanda Michael of Jacksonville, FL, Kim French of St. Louis, MO, and Becky Roberts of Cape Canaveral, FL; two brothers John A. O’Gwynn, Jr. and Edward R. O’Gwynn both of Mobile, Ala; three sisters Linda Heritage, Carolyn O’Gwynn Swetnam, and Sybil Lewis all of Mobile Ala; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, February 8, with the Reverends Earl Warnock and Billy Vinson officiating. Burial will be in Eastbrook Cemetery, Swainsboro.
