Mr. Frances Scotty “SCOTT” Schoen age 82, of Swainsboro passed away Monday morning, March 21, 2016 at his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Schoen was born in Miami, Fl. to the late Frances Ferdenan and Ruth Amelia Dill Schoen. He was also preceded in death by a Brother Donald Paul Schoen.
Mr. Schoen moved to Swainsboro in 1972. He owned and operated a used car business. He was employed by Roper’s for 20 years. Mr. Schoen enjoyed Fishing, Hunting, building remote control airplanes and helicopters, and an avid NASCAR fan. Mr. Schoen loved going to the Florida Keys.
Survivors include his Wife Betty Meeks Schoen of Swainsboro; three sons, Paul Schoen of Swainsboro, Ga; Joey (Caitlin) Schoen of Kite, Ga, and Tristan Schoen of Swainsboro, Ga, Three Daughters Martha Ubide (Cecil) of Ocala, Fl., Clara Wheeler of Swainsboro, Ga., and Courtney Schoen of Swainsboro, Ga., Nine Grandchildren and Eighteen Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday March 22, 2016 from 6PM until 8PM at Chapman Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 23, 2016, at 11 AM in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Meeks officiating. Interment will follow in the Swainsboro City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Zach Walters, Gary Walters, Scotty Schoen, Joseph Walk, Tommy Hadden Sr., Tommy Hadden, Jr., Johnny Paul Rich, Donald Scott Schoen.
