Mr. Rutherford was born in Nashville, GA and was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy Rutherford and Hazel Graves Gibbs, and his step-father, Carl Gibbs. He served in the United States Army and was employed with Handi House.
Survivors include sons, Ken “Bubba” Rutherford, Glenwood and Nathan Rutherford, Norristown; daughter, Renee Price, Kite; brothers, Carl Allen Gibbs, Augusta, and Wayne Rutherford, Texas; sisters, Carolyn Stevens and Phyllis Clark, both of South Carolina; 4 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 11 o’clock Thursday, morning January, 20, with the Reverends Allen Meeks and Bruce Flowers officiating. Burial will be in Kite City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends form 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 19 at Chapman Funeral Home.
