Melvin Mcdaniel

Melvin McDaniel was born on February 28th, 1933, in Jefferson County Georgia. Melvin was the son of Ernest and Annie McDaniel. Melvin passed away on March 14th, 2024, at Celebrations assisted living in Denison Texas. Melvin was 91 years old.

Melvin was married to the love of his life, Nancy Joan Patton for 52 years.

Melvin spent 21 years in the US Air Force and retired in Denison Texas. Melvin and his brother Melton created Mac’s Tax and Bookkeeping in Sherman, Texas.

Melvin enjoyed volunteering.  He volunteered at Perrin Air Force base museum until 2022.  He loved helping others.

Melvin was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy, grandsons Jaron Neans and Christopher Bell, his parents, and brothers, Billy, Melton, Johnny, and Jimmy McDaniel.

Melvin leaves behind his beloved family, sister Annette Evans, of Swainsboro Georgia, daughter Belinda and J.R. Neans, of Sherman Texas, son Steven McDaniel of Soperton Georgia, daughter Karen Derrick of Sherman, Texas, grandchildren Angie Derrick, Donald Bell, Adam Neans, and Steven Neans, great grandchildren Danny, Emry, and AJ.

Family and friends will gather to visit from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday March 18th, 2024, at Fisher Funeral Home in Denison, TX.
