Mr. Sexton was born in Dante, Virginia and had been living in Emanuel County for over 10 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Icey G. Biggs Sexton and was retired from the United States Army.
Survivors include daughters, Rhonda Long, Fairfax, VA, Kerry Sexton, Fairfax, VA, and Loretta Sexton, Atlanta; grandchildren, Tyler Long, Fairfax, VA, and Jack Sexton, Fairfax, VA; brothers, Robert Sexton, Orlando, FL, and Billy Sexton, Leesburg, VA; sisters, Nelda Jenkins, Martinsburg, West Virginia, and Debbie Kifer, FL.
A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 6 o’clock Thursday evening, December 23 with Rev. Mark Hardin officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Chapman Funeral Home.
