Ada Nelle Kunkel

Mrs. Ada Nelle Kunkel, 81, of Wadley, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Kunkel was born March 29, 1942, in Midville to the late Ben Franklin Stavely and Ada Leola Watkins Stavely. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Benny Stavely, Jimmy Stavely; sisters, Jeanette Davey; grandson, Billy Register.

Mrs. Kunkel is survived by her husband of 33 years, Mike Kunkel of Wadley; sons, Gene Marsh of Davisboro, Terry Marsh of Moxley; daughters, Dean Taylor (Lonnie) of Augusta, Erica Kunkel of Cadilliac, MI, Michelle Payne (Chris) of Traverse City, MI; brothers, Johnny Stavely (Faye) of Wadley; 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

She Loved to cook, fish, sew and garden. A true homemaker, awesome mother and grandmother. One of her greatest joys was family gatherings when she would get to see all her “Babies”. She would always say the only thing she could ever attract was kids, cats and dogs. Tootie Belle was her fur baby that she loved as much as any of her children. During her life Mother was a member of the Moose Lodge, Eastern Star and a long time hair dresser and CNA at Louisville Nursing Home. Her most treasured passion was helping others.

Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Monday, March 18, 2024, in St. Johns Methodist Church with Pastor Tom Akins officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Johns Memorial Garden Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M., Monday, March 18, 2024, at St. Johns Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Hadden, Johnny Stavely, Jr., Donnie Evans, Drew Marsh, William Colley, and Justin Stavely.
