Mr. Albert “Junior” Sanders, 76, of Swainsboro went to be with his Loving Saviour and Lord on December 23, 2015, after an extended battle with Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson's with his family by his side.
Mr. Sanders was born April 3, 1939 in Swainsboro to the late Albert Lee Otis Sanders and Nellie Moore Sanders. He was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Sanders Farrow. Mr. Sanders was a loving father, husband, and grandfather. Touching the lives of many, always desiring to help those in need. Albert was a member of Freewill Baptist Church, where he attended faithfully and gave unselfishly of his time. He loved his family and loved spending time with them. He enjoyed family vacations to the mountains. His church family was also loved very much by him and an important part of his life.
Survivors include his wife, Versie Durden Sanders of Swainsboro; daughter, Angel (Bobby) Morris of Twin City; son, Todd (Michelle) Sanders of Dublin; grandchildren, Alexis Morris and Christian Morris both of Swainsboro, Jessica Guinn of Wilmington, NC, Matthew Sanders of Dublin and Tiffany Kitchings of Adrian; 4 great granddaughters; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon, December 27, 2015 with Reverends Buddy Morris and Steve Dowless officiating.
Interment will be in the Swainsboro City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday evening, December 26, 2015 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Carl Jones, Hugh Johnson, Ed Hodges, Jack Stapleton, Ray Allen, Earl Shirey, J. R. McCoy, and J. E. Deriso.
