Alfred Lee Whittenburg, Jr.

Mr. Alfred Lee Whittenburg, Jr, 68, of Swainsboro passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Whittenburg was born January 2, 1951 in Lake Charles AK. to the late Alfred Lee Whittenburg, Sr. and Fernie Hanke Whittenburg.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Whitenburg. Mr. Whittenburg spent 20 years in the United States Navy retiring as an E-7 Chief. He attended Ebenezer Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Christie Whittenburg of Swainsboro; son, Alfred Lee Whittenburg, III, (Brandi) of Lexington, SC.; daughters, Shelia Mewborn (Paul) of Douglasville, Mandy Sutton (Mike Barton) of Swainsboro, and Tiffany Daoud (Sal) of Phoenix, AR.; brother, Roger Whittenburg (Darcie) of Porterville, CA.; Special cousin, Linda Irvin of Boomer, AR. ; 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and friends.
