Mr. Alvin C. Deicke, Jr., 67, of Swainsboro died Monday, December 2, 2013 at the Georgia Regents Medical Center in Augusta following an extended illness.
Mr. Deicke was born in San Antonio, Texas to the late Alvin C. Deicke, Sr. and Bernice Marie Raabe Deicke. Mr. Deicke served 13 years in the United States Air Force, and United States Army. Mr. Deicke also worked at Wal-Mart in the produce department. He was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Norma Jean Deicke of Swainsboro; daughters, Marie Tanner of Swainsboro, Mary Ann White of Newport News, VA, Donna Jean (Edwin) Mejia of Aberdeen, MD, and Ethel Rozek of Swainsboro; sisters, Kathleen Shrewsbury and Sandy Krause both of San Antonio, Texas; 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 1:00 o’clock Friday, December 6, 2013 with Rev. Jeff Stark officiating. Interment will be in the Eastbrook Cemetery near Swainsboro.
The family will receive friends Friday at 11 am until time of service.
