Ann C. Buxton

Mrs. Ann C. Buxton, 74, of Kite passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at WellStar Medical Center in Augusta. She was born on November 30, 1951, in Swainsboro to the late, Wilbur H. Chapman and Mattie R. Perkins Chapman. Ann was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Billy V. Chapman, Sr., Donnie Chapman; mother and father-in-law, J. C. and Thelma Buxton.

Ann was a loving wife for 54 years in August, a mother for 53 years, a grandmother for 32 years and a great-grandmother for 11 years. She was a member of Kite Church of God. She sang with the Buxton family for several years. Ann stayed at home for a few years, then started a group with her daughter and nephew. She loved her family and her fur babies. Ann was a loving, caring person who never met a stranger. She was loved and will be greatly missed. So thankful to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the time we had with her.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Michael Buxton of Kite; son, Mike Buxton (Charlotte) of Kite; daughter, Regina Lindsey (Charlie) of Sandersville; grandchildren, Ashley Claxton (Jen), Andrew Claxton (Allyson), Heather Creech (Troy), Harley Smith (Dylan), Cole Buxton, Chase Lindsey, Briggston Buxton, Bream Buxton; great-grandchildren, Addie Claxton, Stephen Buck Claxton, Ryleigh Ann Claxton, A. J. Claxton, Rayley Smith, Case Smith, Mattie Creech; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Graveside Service will be 1 P.M. Friday, March 20, 2026, at the Kite City Cemetery with Mr. Randy Buxton and Mr. Charlie Lindsey officiating.

Pallbearers are Ashley Claxton, Andrew Claxton, Cole Buxton, Briggston Buxton, Breau Buxton and Chase Lindsey.
