Anthony Lee Herrington

Mr. Anthony Lee Herrington, 68, of Kite passed away Sunday evening, June 4, 2017 at Community Hospice in Vidalia following an extended illness. Mr. Herrington was born April 14, 1949 in Swainsboro, Ga. to the late William Arthur Herington and Louise Shepard Herrington. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Debra Walker; son, Freddie Herrington; sisters, JoAnn Williams, and Harriett Taylor. Mr. Herrington lived all his life in Kite Georgia. He loved fishing, listening to country music, grilling, and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Herrington was a member of Kite Church of God. Survivors include his son, Michael Walker of Swainsboro; daughters, Michelle Nail of Texas, Angelique Herrington of Swainsboro, Mary Herrington of Cobbtown, Julie Black and Misty Walker both of Swainsboro; brothers, William Herrington, and Rufus Herrington both of Kite, Ga.; 13 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and friends. Memorial services will be held in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2017 with Reverend Alan Meeks officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 pm. to 7 pm.
