Austin Christopher Scarboro

Mr. Austin Christopher Scarboro, 25, of Twin City passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2023 in Swainsboro.

Austin was born May 16, 1997, in Statesboro to Shane Scarboro and Dawn L. Scarboro.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alfred and Joyce Longwell; paternal grandparents, Arthur and Phyllis Scarboro; paternal great-grandparents, Willis and Jewell Claxton, Sr.  Austin was a 2015 graduate of ECI.  He participated in the ECI marching band and was an active member of Emanuel County 4-H.  Austin was a 2 year cast member of Georgia 4-H Clovers & Company.   He was a very talented musician and a great singer.  His love of music started at the young age of 4.  Austin also enjoyed playing golf, skeet shooting and turkey hunting.

Survivors include his father, Shane Scarboro of Swainsboro; mother, Dawn Scarboro of Twin City; daughter, Mary Jane E. Scarboro of Twin City; sister, AnnaLayne Scarboro of Twin City; girlfriend, Katie Bowen of Millen; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

The family will receive friends from 3 pm to 5 pm, Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Chapman Funeral Home.
