Mrs. Barbara Faye Shirey, 81, of Swainsboro passed away Friday, February 13, 2026, at Pruitt-Health Nursing Home in Swainsboro. She was born on July 8, 1944, in Phenix City, Alabama to the late Sarah Benton.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lamar Shirey; brothers, Lee Benton, Jimmy Reynolds.
Survivors include her daughter, Rhonda Puzo (Lou) of Lincolnton; grandson, Brandon Kirk (Katie) of Appling; 2 great-grandchildren, Tyler Kirk, Luke Kirk; nephews, Chris Reynolds, Shane Reynolds; niece, Angie Benton; best friends, Barbara Jean Brown, Henry Brown, Kathi Arrington.
