Mr. Bert Darrell Flanders, 43, of Swainsboro died Sunday morning, October 12, 2014 at his residence following a brief illness.
Mr. Flanders was born June 1, 1971 in Swainsboro to Henry Bert Flanders and Pauline Coleman Flanders. He was a life long resident of Emanuel County. Mr. Flanders was a 1989 graduate of Swainsboro High School and received a degree in drafting at Southeastern Technical College. He was employed with Nordson Industries. Mr. Flanders
loved spending time with his children and family.
Survivors include his parents, Bert Flanders and Pauline C. Flanders of Swainsboro; sons, Caleb Michael Flanders and Joshua Fitzgerald Flanders both of Swainsboro; daughters, Natasha Nicole Anderson and Jessica Christine Shivers both of Swainsboro; brothers, Kevin Lee (Elizabeth Nan) Flanders of Kite and Brian Joseph (Joni Marie) Flanders of Garfield; sister, Cynthia Ann (Robert) Cochran of Swainsboro; granddaughter, JaMyra Alexia Shivers of Swainsboro; five nieces; four nephews; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, October 14, 2014 with Reverend Jimmy Stapleton officiating.
Interment will be in the Eastbrook Cemetery near Swainsboro.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening, October 13, 2014 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Flanders, Brian Flanders, Robert Cochran, Brad McCoy, Roy Brantley and Wayne Kersey.
