Mrs. Bessie Christine McCall Taylor, 90, of Wrightsville passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Washington County Extended Care Facility following an extended illness.
Mrs. Taylor was born March 13, 1926 in Seneca, SC. to Melvin Monroe McCall and Maggie Watkins McCall. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry F. Taylor; brothers, Ralph, Raymond, Cladie, Hoyle, Clyde, and Laudie. Mrs. Taylor lived in Wrightsville for 50 years. She loved Knitting, reading, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Taylor was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Joy Bailey of Wrightsville; grandchildren, Devrick Bailey (Jennifer Thigpen) of Statesboro; Dawn Bailey-Hussey (Lynn) of Wrightsville; great-grandson, Nova Hussey; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 18, 2016 with Reverend David Oliver officiating.
Interment will follow in the Greensboro City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 pm. to 8 pm. Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Chapman Funeral Home.
