Mrs. Bessie Lee Page Jackson Branson, 77, of Waynesboro passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Burk Medical Center in Waynesboro following an extended illness.
Mrs. Branson was born March 21, 1937 in Swainsboro to the late George L. Page and Mary Lee Bush Page. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lonnie R. Jackson and Lloyd Branson; daughter, Jacquelyn Jackson Newsome; sister, Myrtle Spence. Mrs. Branson lived in Swainsboro then moved to Kite until 2004 when she moved to Albany in the summer of 2004. After leaving Albany, she moved to Waynesboro to live with her daughter in 2008. Mrs. Branson loved being with her family and expecially her grandchildren. She was a member of Mt. Shady Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Ranzie Jackson of Waynesboro and Ricky Jackson of Valdosta; daughters, Gwendolyn J. (Donny) Sharpe of Waynesboro and Beverly F. (Greg) Davis of Darien; brothers, Wayne (Catherine) Page of Metter, Ralph (Sue) Page of Adrian, James (Mary) Page of Cumming, Steve (Janet) Page of Swainsboro and Mack (Mary) Page of Missouri; sisters, Lela Spence of Swainsboro, Shelba (Eugene) Wilkes of Swainsboro, Della Holt of Swainsboro, Dawn Larkin of Swainsboro and Lavon Woods of Swainsboro; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Mt. Shady Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, February 24, 2015 with Reverends Wayne Page and Wayne Dixon officiating.
Interment will follow in the Lambs Cemetery near Kite.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening, February 23, 2015 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ashley Page, Jason Page, Matt Holt, Clint Page, Brisen Larkin, Walter Spence, Tommy Woods and Charles Henry.
Honorary Pallbearers are Jeremy Page, Jacob Davis, Dillon Dixon and Andrew Scarff.
