Mrs. Beth Griffin Woods, 57, of Kite went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday morning, November 14, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Woods was born August 22, 1957 to Joel and Betty Griffin.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Jeff Griffin; maternal grandparents, Warren and Carrie Greenway; and paternal grandparents, Burnice and Harvey Lee Griffin.  Mrs. Woods was a Lunchroom Manager with the Emanuel County Board of Education for 20 years and had an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts.  She loved gardening, cooking and her grandchildren were her world.  Mrs. Woods was a member of the Kite Church of God.

Survivors include her husband, Joey Woods of Kite; daughters, Patti (Julian) Stevenson of Warner Robins, Mandi (Todd) Purcell of Midville and Jessica (Matthew) Kitchens of Grovetown; parents, Joel and Betty Griffin of Grovetown; step-daughter, Missy (Rodney) Mills of Midville; step-son, Timothy Woods of Kite; brother, Ricky Griffin of Grovetown; grandchildren, Julia Stevenson, Olivia Stevenson, Melanie Purcell, Victoria Stevenson, Macie Purcell, Gabriella Kitchens and Logan Kitchens; step-grandchildren, Addie Brown, Lake Woods and Waylon Mills; nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Swainsboro at 3:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon, November 16, 2014 with Reverend Allen Meeks officiating.

Interment will be in the Union Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery near Midville.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon, November 16, 2014 at the church.

Pallbearers will be Butch Frye, Vernon Hardy, Richard Daniels, Jeremy Worth, Steve Temples, Donald Jenkins, Tommy Sause and Johnny Gay.
