Betty Mcnure Hutcheson

Ms. Betty McNure Hutcheson, 59, of Adrian passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Emanuel Medical Center following an extended illness.

Ms. Hutcheson was born September 6, 1961, in Swainsboro to George McNure and Laverne Kersey McNure. She was born and raised in Emanuel County.  Ms. Hutcheson graduated from Swainsboro High School in 1979. She attended Brewton Parker College, graduating cum laude with her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2001. Ms. Hutcheson went on to obtain her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Walden University in 2006. She taught First Grade at Adrian School for multiple years before teaching Fourth Grade at Twin City Elementary. Ms. Hutcheson had a love for teaching, reading, singing, and her church. Above all else, she loved her family and the Lord. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her grandchildren. Ms. Hutcheson was a lifetime member of Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist church, joining when she was just 10 years old.

Survivors include her parents, George & Laverne McNure of Norristown; son, Seth (Abrill) Hutcheson of Adrian; daughter, Anna (Ethan) Edge of Soperton; brothers, Steve (Cristi) McNure of Portal, Jerry (Angie) McNure of Norristown; grandchildren, Maddie Rae Edge, Riley Hutcheson, Erin Hutcheson, Kalem Hutcheson, Nellie Hutcheson; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral Services will be 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 15, 2021, at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church off with Elder Steve McNure and Elder J.E. Griffis.

Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, August 15, 2021, at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church.

Pallbearers are Ethan Edge, Lynn Hutcheson, Jerry McNure, Justin McNure, Ben McNure.
